We're excited about God and the good things He's doing here on Earth.
Welcome to Sequoyah Community Church. We exist to love God and love others. Whether it’s your first time or you’ve recently joined the Sequoyah family, we want to welcome you and also help you look for ways to get more connected and involved. Our services are Sundays at 10 am. Below you will find information to help you get to know us. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact us.
We seek God's presence.
We lift our hands, we kneel, we cry out in prayer, because more than anything we want God’s presence. We want everything we do to be led by Holy Spirit, touching our services and our lives. It’s simply a palpable hunger for Him, to be led by Him and only Him.
We are a community.
At Sequoyah, we like to think of relationship as our secret sauce. It’s the “home” feeling people have when they walk through our doors for the first time. We care deeply for each other more than just friends on social media. When we ask how the week was, we genuinely want to know and respond. Relationship isn’t just something we do. It’s who we are and central to the vision of Sequoyah: “Know. Follow. Show. Share.”
"The diversity and warmth of this church surprised me. I didn't expect to feel so at home."
Here at Sequoyah you can expect a diverse community with people from every age, race, and background. We celebrate diversity because God made every person unqiue and special. He has open arms for us all, and we want to reflect that.
We teach God's Word & equip our members
to be who God created them to be.
After His resurrection, Jesus spoke to his disciples, saying, “Go and make disciples of all nations …. teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19-20). At Sequoyah, we are focused on being and equipping disciples of Jesus.
We are outreach.
In Mark 9:35, Jesus reminds us, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.” Being a servant isn’t complicated. It’s as simple as finding a place to share your God-given gifts, skills, and abilities. Whatever it is, we invite you to serve where you’re wired.
